Public Safety
When determining which projects to be funded by the SPLOST, public safety projects were among the most important for the public. SPLOST funds will be used to purchase and install a new 800MHz radio system that will be used by all first responders. Funds will also used for a new Aniumal Welfare Center, for a new Juvenile Justice Center, for new fires stations, to purchase new vehicles, and to make building improvements.
Public Safety has 8 Focus Areas with a combined 7 projects. 4 of these projects are labeled in progress and 3 are complete.
