Macon-Bibb SPLOST

In November 2011, the voters of Macon and Bibb County approved a one percent Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) to fund many much needed projects. Through this website, Macon and Bibb County can promote transparency in government by showing the public how their money is being spent and how it is having an impact on the community.

Bowden Golf Course Improvements Underway: Bowden Golf Course has been undergoing extensive improvements to bring it up to par.
Ft. Hawkins Visitor Center Groundbreaking: SPLOST funds are being used to improve & upgrade Ft. Hawkins, the birthplace of Macon.
Macon Wins National Vote, Supports SPLOST Project: The Second Street Corridor Project will be getting support from a national company after Macon won an online contest.
Company Chosen for New Centreplex Seating: Improvements at the Macon Centreplex will continue with the second phase of seating installation.
