LAST PRE TRIAL OFFER/DEMAND:  GEICO tendered its limits and State Farm paid $13,166.00.  Plaintiff’s last demand was a total of $40,000.00 from State Farm.

Plaintiff was rear ended by Defendant as Plaintiff prepared to make a left turn from Napier Avenue onto Holt Avenue.  Defendant denied negligence and contended Plaintiff was negligent in failing to use a left turn signal.  Plaintiff drove himself to MedCenter North and then had extensive physical therapy and other treatment up until the time of trial.  Dr. George Stefanis testified to the permanence of Plaintiff’s neck injury.  Defendant challenged negligence, causation, and damages.  Plaintiff’s case consisted of his own testimony and the testimony of the investigating officer, his wife, four fellow members of the Bibb County Sheriff’s Department, and the video taped deposition of Dr. George Stefanis as well as a reading of a medical narrative from Dr. Stefanis.  Defendant’s case consisted of his own testimony as well as photographs of both vehicles taken after the collision.  The jury deliberated one hour and ten minutes before returning its verdict.
