OTHER INFORMATION:

Plaintiff was a passenger in a car driven by his father when they had a rear-end collision with another vehicle. Mr. Brown, Sr., died after the lawsuit was filed and before trial so that the administrator of his estate became the proper party. Plaintiff was taken from the scene by ambulance to the Medical Center of Central Georgia emergency room. He followed up with Dr. Michael Dawson but only saw him a couple of times. Plaintiff was a sheet metal worker at Robins Air Force Base where he earned about $16 per hour. He claimed to have been out of work for four months as the result of his injuries from this accident. Plaintiff’s case consisted of the testimony of the investigating police officer, the deposition testimony of Dr. Dawson, and his own testimony. The defense admitted negligence and did not present any evidence. The defense did challenge the credibility of Plaintiff concerning his prior condition and other health issues he may have had. The six person jury deliberated about 1 hour before reaching a verdict.
