Plaintiff was rear ended by Defendant as they were coming off the exit ramp from Second Street onto Riverside Drive. The property damage was relatively minor. Prior to the accident, Plaintiff had been diagnosed with chronic pain as a result of three other previous automobile accidents. She also had another minor rear end collision on September 20, 1998 and two other subsequent injuries. Plaintiff complained that the injuries resulted in an inability to do her job which caused stress and anxiety. She was already on a prescription for Prozac before this accident. Plaintiff's case consisted of her testimony and the deposition testimony of two doctors. Defendant was not present for trial but a portion of her deposition was read to the jury.
