Plaintiff was southbound on Vineville Avenue and attempted to turn left onto Vista Circle when her Toyota Land Cruiser was hit by Defendant's Chevrolet Suburban as Defendant was traveling northbound in the center lane on Vineville Avenue. The traffic light was green as both drivers approached the intersection, and when it turned yellow, Defendant testified she felt like she could safely make it through the intersection. Plaintiff testified she did not see Defendant coming and thought she had waited enough time to be able to clear the intersection safely. Plaintiff contended Defendant made an abrupt lane change and was going too fast for conditions. The impact was substantial.
