Your Library Card


      

Library cards:  wallet and key-ring


Library cards are free to all residents of Georgia.  Persons who attend school, own property or are employed in Georgia are eligible for a free PINES card.  Out of state cards are available for a $25.00 annual fee.

Proper identification showing a name and address must be presented to register for a card.

Parents or guardians of children under the age of 18 must accompany their child when applying for a card.  The parent must sign their child's card and present proper identification.

A library card is required in order to check out materials.


Loan Period

Normal loan period............14 days                                                 
Reserve books.....................7 days


Book Renewals

Books can be renewed twice for an additional 4 weeks in person or by phone if the book is not overdue or on reserve.


Book Returns

Books can be returned to any library within the PINES system or to a book return box.


Overdue Book Fines

Adult books...................10¢ per day                                                    
Children's books............10¢ per day


Lost or Damaged Books

The price of replacing the book plus a $10.00 restocking fee is charged for a lost or severely damaged book.


Lost Library Card

Library cards can be replaced if lost for a replacement fee of $2.00.


Overdue Notices

First reminder..........................7 days past the due date of an item
Second reminder...................14 days past the due date of an item
Bill for replacing book..........30 days past the due date                                

Delinquent accounts

No library books will be checked out to library card holders with outstanding books or overdue fines.
