Departments

The Assessors' Office is comprised of administration and four divisions-Residential, Commercial/Industrial, Special Projects, and Personal Property. There are 28 employees in the Tax Assessors Office.

Andrea Crutchfield was appointed as Chief Appraiser of Bibb County in September 2008. Andrea has been with Bibb County since 1992 and has held the titles of Deputy Chief Appraiser, Assistant Chief Appraiser of Personal Property, and Auditor. Andrea has a B.B.A. with a degree in Accounting from Georgia College. She is also a Certified Public Accountant. She also holds the Appraiser IV designation from the Georgia Department of Revenue. Mrs. Crutchfield served as President of the Georgia Association of Assessing Officials for 2010 - 2011. She is a member of IAAO, Georgia Society of CPA's, and the American Institute of CPA's.

Jody Claborn is the Deputy Chief Appraiser of Bibb County. Jody is certified as an Appraiser IV with the Georgia Department of Revenue and has been with Bibb County since 2008, he was previously the Assistant Chief of the Residential Property Division. He has also served as Chairman of the Jasper County Board of Tax Assessors.

Kema Bishop is the Appraisal Manager of the Residential Property Division, which consists of ten appraisers. This division values all of the residential and agricultural properties within the county, approximately 63,000 parcels. She holds the Appraiser IV designation from the Georgia Department of Revenue and has been with Bibb County since 2009. Kema also has 24 years of appraisal experience as a Georgia Certified Appraiser.

Katie Kern is the Appraisal Manager for Special Projects. Katie holds an Appraiser IV designation from the Department of Revenue. Katie was previously the Auditor in the Personal Property Division.
